Channing Tatum has revealed details about the upcoming Magic Mike sequel.
Tatum received critical acclaim for his role in the 2012 film, directed by Steven Soderbergh and based on his own experiences as a stripper.
The actor, who began work on the sequel's script earlier this year, told GQ magazine that the sequel will be set in a series of stripper conventions.
"The women would come from miles and miles around," Tatum explains, "Then you lock the doors and you say all bets are off.
"It gets zany and crazy, and it's a wild ride. It's an incubator for insanity... You've seen Magic Mike – now multiply that. Mob mentality. It's just exponentially crazier. I thought it was absolutely insane."
Steven Soderbergh will not be returning to direct the film, but he will be acting as camera operator, director of photography and editor.
Magic Mike XXL is due for release in July 2015.
