The latest edition of The Wrestling Observer newsletter posted some interesting WWE stats, comparing numbers from March of 2013 to March of this year. Some of those include:
- RAW ratings droped from a 3.29 average rating and 4.67 million viewers in March '13 to a 3.10 rating and 4.32 million viewers in March of 2014 — a 5.8% drop in ratings and a 7.5% drop in viewers. However, Smackdown actually saw a 1.5% increase in ratings and a 3.6% increase in viewers.
- WWE.com had a HUGE jump in numbers from March of last year to March of this year, going from 13.9 million unique visitors in March 2013 to 22.2 million in March 2014. That's a 59.7% increase, but those numbers aren't really fair to compare when you consider the Network launch. A more accurate month to compare in order to gauge general interest for the site this year compared to last year would be January, prior to all the network hype really beginning.
- WWEShop.com is up quite a bit too as they went from processing 903 orders in March of 2013 to 1,161 this year, a 28.6% increase.
- Interestingly, WWE DVD sales were down 31.6% in March of this year compared to last year.
