PWInsider.com is reporting that Batista is not scheduled for any events past this weekend after WWE Extreme Rules. WWE knew that he would be taking some time off to promote "Guardians of the Galaxy," but him leaving so soon has come as a surprise to many.

The original plans for Daniel Bryan were to face Batista at WWE Payback in June. Batista apparently turned that down, as he felt losing to someone so small would not help him be remembered when he returns to the company. He also felt that it would not be good for his movie promotions.

Since this was the plan for WWE and Batista turned it down, there are no further plans for him at this moment, which is why Batista is leaving earlier than expected. There is no word on what this does to Evolution, but "The Animal" is expected to be back before SummerSlam.

Wow, what kind of fucking contract has this dude got if he can easily turn stuff down?

I thought that if you turned down creative, you'd get a one way trip to job town

Regardless of what people want to believe, the bigger stars have the ability to shoot down and sign off on angles/matches/outcomes if they feel it's the right thing to do. Cena has it, Orton has it, Sheamus has it. I could go on and on. It's called "Creative Control"

Well obviously you have to be a name in Hollywood for it to sway things. The Miz appearing in some shitty movie for WWE means shit all... <_<

To be fair, Batista's put Bryan over immensely the past few months. Especially at WM when he beat him and Orton in what was technically a handicap match after he defeated Triple H cleanly and Triple H attacked him after the match AND during. If he doesn't wanna do it one more time, it's fine.
