The story involving a lawsuit against Bryan Singer for sexual abuse of a seventeen year-old buy isn't even seventy-two hours old and already it's getting a lot of twists and turns. As you may recall, Singer was named along with Marc Collins-Rector in a lawsuit by Michael Egan, who says he was sexually abused by the two of them as well as others during two trips to Hawaii in 1999.

Now, TMZ reports that Singer has proof that he wasn't in Hawaii during the times when the alleged abuse took place. Egan claims that Singer raped him during the two trips, which took place in August and October of 1999. According to people close to Singer, he has credit card bills and other documents proving that he was in Toronto during the times in question.

Singer was in Toronto at the time working on the first X-Men film. That film began principal photography on September 22nd and ran through March 3rd, though pre-production began much earlier and Singer was reportedly present for that as well.

Singer has stated his intent to file a counter-claim and has called the lawsuit "absurd and defamatory" and "completely without merit."

TMZ reports that the 31-year-old man who is suing director Bryan Singer claims he didn't remember being sexually assaulted in a pool by Singer at a 1998 Los Angeles party until recently. However, he filed a lawsuit over the same party in 2000, claiming three other men sexually abused him. He had a clear memory of the incident at the time.

Michael Egan said that Singer forced him to perform oral sex on him when he was fifteen. He claims that Singer held his head underwater before forcing him to commit the act on him.

Egan filed a lawsuit in 2000 against three different men, including party house owner Marc Collins-Rector. Singer was not named in the suit and there is no reference to him. Egan received a default judgment of over $2 million, but Collins-Rector and others left the country so Egan didn't get much.

At the news conference announcing his lawsuit on Thursday, Egan claimed he blocked the incident years ago and drank alcohol heavily. When he got sober and began therapy, he remembered Singer.

Singer and his legal team think it's ludicrous that Egan would remember the party in vivid detail for the other three men but only repress memories of Singer.
